Stop Me! is a free Chrome extension developed by davidydevelopment. This useful tool helps you stay productive by alerting you when you exceed a customized daily limit on a particular website.
With Stop Me!, you can easily track your site usage and set alarms to remind yourself to take breaks or switch tasks. The extension allows you to create multiple alarms and even temporarily disable them when needed.
Site usage is calculated by monitoring the amount of time a website is active in the Chrome browser. To be considered active, a website must be the active tab in Chrome and Chrome must be the active application for at least 2 seconds. If you open a new tab, switch Chrome windows, or switch to a different application, the usage tracking will be paused.
All site usage and alarm details are stored locally on your computer using the Chrome storage. Additionally, the extension offers the option to reset site usage on a daily basis at a specific time set in the options page.
